1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ClearSkai Technologies, LLC, doing business as SkaiScraper ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through our software platforms, websites, and connected tools ("Service").

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect:

  • Name, email, phone, address
  • Business and licensing details
  • Photos, videos, documents, inspection files
  • Project notes, customer information, reports
  • Insurance-related materials voluntarily uploaded
  • Messages and communication content
  • Uploaded PDFs, spreadsheets, forms, or metadata

We also collect all information entered into SkaiScraper portals, including:

  • Contractor portal
  • Client portal
  • Claims workflow
  • Job descriptions
  • AI prompts or image uploads

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

We collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser/device info
  • Session metadata
  • Crash logs
  • Usage analytics
  • Click-path
  • Operating system data
  • Access timestamps
  • Feature interaction data

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive data from:

  • Stripe (billing events)
  • Adjusters or carriers you authorize
  • Contractors you authorize
  • Insurance repair networks
  • Public databases
  • Communications platforms

2.4 Our Mobile Apps (SkaiInspect and SkaiClient)

Our iOS apps ask for device permissions only when you use the feature that needs them. You can turn any of them off in iOS Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

  • Camera and photos. Photos and videos you capture or choose are uploaded to the job, claim or inspection you attach them to, with the time they were taken and, when location is on, where.
  • Precise location, only while the app is in use. SkaiInspect records where each inspection photo was taken, so evidence can be tied to the property. When you start Live Tracker, your position is shared with your team and with the customer on that job until the inspection or trip ends. The apps do not track location in the background.
  • Microphone and speech recognition. SkaiInspect listens for voice commands and dictation only while you use those features. Speech is converted to text on your device; the text may then be processed by our AI service providers to prepare inspection notes and reports (Section 4). If you attach a voice recording to an inspection, that audio file is uploaded and stored with the inspection.
  • Contacts and calendar. The apps only add a person to your contacts or an appointment to your calendar when you tap to do so. They do not read or upload your address book or calendar.
  • Notifications. If you allow notifications we store a device token to send job, message and account notices.
  • Diagnostics. Crash and performance data (device model, OS version, app version) help us fix problems; it is not used for advertising.

We do not sell app data or use it for third-party advertising or tracking. You can delete your account and its data at any time: in SkaiClient from Account → Delete account, and for SkaiInspect / SkaiScraper accounts from Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account on www.skaiscrape.com (also linked from SkaiInspect under Profile & Security → Privacy & Data), or by emailing support@clearskaitechnologies.com (Section 9). When a homeowner deletes a SkaiClient account, the contractor keeps its own business record of the work it performed; when the last owner deletes a company account, the company's records are deleted.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use data to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Run AI-powered features (summaries, detection, classification, etc.)
  • Create inspection reports
  • Generate automated claim narratives
  • Support contractor–client collaboration
  • Process billing and subscriptions
  • Prevent fraud and misuse
  • Provide support and troubleshoot issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

AI processing is used only to generate outputs for your use — not for advertising or external sale.

3.1 Personalization & Interest-Based Content

With your consent (given when you accept this policy), we use signals from how you use SkaiScraper — the categories of projects you post, pros you view or save, topics you engage with, and your general area (city/state, never your street address) — to personalize what you see:

  • Trending & feed ranking: surfacing stories, project topics, and pros near you that match your interests
  • Recommendations: suggesting pros, groups, and community content you're more likely to find useful
  • Digest content: choosing what appears in optional email or notification digests

Rules we hold ourselves to:

  • Interest profiles are used inside SkaiScraper only — never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers
  • Personalization never draws on the contents of your claims, job documents, project files, private messages, or private photos — only on public/community activity and coarse usage signals
  • You can opt out of interest-based personalization at any time in Settings → Privacy (you'll see recency-based content instead)
  • Deleting your account deletes your interest profile

3.2 What Stays Private vs. What You Can Share

We enforce a hard separation between your work data and your community presence:

Always private (never shown publicly, never used for personalization content):

  • Insurance claim details, numbers, and status
  • Job and project details, estimates, budgets, and pricing
  • Documents, signatures, and files exchanged with your pro
  • Photos in your project/claim workspaces
  • Private messages

Shareable only when YOU choose to (via Settings → Privacy or an explicit share action):

  • Your public profile (name, photo, bio, city/state)
  • Property photos you opt into showing (e.g. before & after shots)
  • Project stories (titles only — never budgets, documents, or addresses)
  • Your claims experience (what you write in community posts — the underlying claim data stays private)
  • Reviews you leave for pros and companies

4. AI Processing & Data Handling

SkaiScraper uses AI models for:

  • Roof & property damage analysis
  • Image categorization
  • Report generation
  • Contractor workflow suggestions
  • Claims structure automation
  • Document and photo summarization

4.1 AI Training Restrictions

Your data is NOT used to train public AI models.

Your data may be used to:

  • Improve internal model accuracy
  • Enhance product performance
  • Detect fraudulent patterns
  • Optimize classification tools

We do not sell training datasets or expose user data to third-party training systems without explicit contractual guarantee of privacy.

4.2 AI Output Disclaimer

AI outputs may:

  • Be inaccurate
  • Misidentify objects or materials
  • Contain false positives or false negatives
  • Misinterpret conditions
  • Omit relevant information
  • Produce hallucinations

You must review all AI outputs before using them professionally.

SkaiScraper is not liable for decisions made using AI-generated content.

4.3 Property Intelligence (SkAI Memory)

Documents and reports processed through the Platform — including measurement reports, inspection reports, photos, and related project files — may be automatically scanned by AI to extract property information (for example: roof dimensions, pitch, materials, condition, and measurement data).

Extracted property data is saved to the property's SkAI Memory profile — a property history record scoped to your organization — so it can pre-fill estimates, reports, and future projects for the same property.

  • SkAI Memory data is visible only within the organization that generated it
  • It is never sold and never shared outside your organization except as described in Section 5
  • It is subject to the same AI Training Restrictions in Section 4.1
  • Organization admins may correct or delete extracted property data at any time

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Hosting providers
  • Email/SMS vendors
  • AI inference engines
  • Customer support tools
  • Payment processor (Stripe)

All subprocessors agree to confidentiality and restricted usage.

5.4 SMS / Text Messaging

If you provide a mobile phone number, we may send you SMS text messages strictly for service purposes: appointment confirmations and reminders, job status updates, report notifications, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing texts without separate express consent.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except for vendors acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages (e.g., our SMS provider).

Message frequency varies by service activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP or contacting support@clearskaitechnologies.com. Details of the opt-in workflow are published at https://www.skaiscrape.com/sms-consent.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose data when required by:

  • Law
  • Court order
  • Subpoena
  • Regulatory investigation

We attempt to notify users unless prohibited.

6. DMCA Safe Harbor

If you upload copyrighted content without authorization, DMCA rules apply.
ClearSkai Technologies, LLC complies fully with §512 Safe Harbor, including:

  • Removal procedures
  • Counter-notice procedures
  • Repeat infringer policies

7. Data Retention

Data is stored:

  • As long as your account is active
  • As required to perform services
  • As required by law

You may request deletion at any time.

We employ:

No system is 100% secure.
